These spoilers assume that Five will keep going until 17th December,
then take a two-week Christmas break to return on 3rd January 2011.

SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 03-07 JAN'11 (6046-6050)

As the trial commences, it's Mrs.Fitzgerald who's caught out when Kate's
testimony contradicts her statement to the police. After Donna leaves the
court to get some air, she's disgusted by Paul's attempts to make her come
back, and Zeke's explanation that she's being used to unsettle Stephanie -
who that night is boosted by Summer giving her a stylish new suit, without
disclosing how Lucas had sold some of his tools to pay $1500 for it. Sonya
clashes with Jarrod over his plans to put Dr.Harris on the stand.

Against Stephanie's wishes, Jarrod bases his defence strategy on her
postnatal depression. Donna organises a street barbecue, and puts Paul on
probation by making him work with Karl at the grill. Samantha observes how
as soon as Stephanie sees Doug at court, she feels ambushed and walks out.
Donna hopes the barbecue will diffuse tension, except Kate & Declan fight
over Mark. Though Jarrod convinces Stephanie to trust him, Mrs.Fitzgerald
soon discredits Dr.Harris since he dated the defendant's best friend.

When Michael gives Andrew some extra tutoring at home, he accidentally
discovers how Rebecca & Paul sleep in two beds disguised as one. Libby has
to steady Stephanie's nerves when Jarrod applies for her & Daniel to have
joint custody of Adam. Michael accepts Rebecca's excuses, but offers to be
a good listener. Natasha's playing hard to get merely leaves Andrew out of
sorts with her. Rebecca tells Michael what she dare not share with Susan
or Lyn - she is only living with Paul because he won't let her go.

Rebecca realises she's put Declan in danger so insists she's committed
to Paul, which makes Michael back away. Lou's return prompts Lyn to follow
Donna's street barbecue by organising a blood donation drive in honour of
Ringo. After Declan boasts about his company car, Kate is amused when Mark
counters that he doesn't have stop for red lights. Rebecca sadly agrees to
just be friends with Michael. Karl bitterly accuses Lyn of hypocrisy since
she's protecting the woman who killed Ringo, and Susan has to back him.

Libby continues to support Stephanie who urges Lyn not to throw away her
friendship with Susan. Andrew ruins Natasha's romantic dreams of becoming
the 'King & Queen of Hearts' at the school social, by telling her the idea
sucks. Susan simply doesn't know what to say, when Lyn comes to apologise.
Because this social is actually pushing Andrew & Summer together, Natasha
steals the ticket money hoping to wreck the event. Realising that Samantha
has a vendetta, Susan advises Libby to do whatever she thinks is right.

Wednesday's episode was partly directed by Scott Major, who plays Lucas
Fitzgerald (and previously was Darren Stark). According to a press release
he's always been interested in the other side of the camera, and last year
wrote, produced & directed a play, "The Subtle Art of Flirting". Jonathon
Dutton (who was Tad Reeves eight years ago) is now a regular director, but
Mr.Major is the first actor to take the helm whilst in the current cast.

Whenever it seems Libby is somewhere else while people talk about her, it
is because actress Kym Valentine was ill when those scenes were filmed.

Five have announced that they will keep going until 24th December,
which means that "Neighbours" is to be shown on Christmas Eve for the
first time since 1998. However, it will follow their pattern of Bank
Holiday scheduling with the lunch show going out 25 minutes early at
1:20pm, and the teatime show arriving 15 minutes late at 5:45pm.

SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 03-07 JAN'11 (6046-6050)
Consequently, 6046-6050 will be shown before Christmas, while these
spoilers still assume that Five will return on 3rd January 2011.

SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 03-07 JAN'11 (6051-6055)

When Libby sticks to her lie in court, Mrs.Fitzgerald clocks Stephanie's
reaction. Zeke suspects Natasha is the thief but the rest of the committee
disagrees, since she put so much work into the social. Mr.Rebecchi is left
helpless as Mrs.Fitzgerald tears Libby's testimony apart, thus finally the
truth comes out. Michael has to cancel the social, so Natasha asks Andrew
for Robinson Entertainment to stage a dance - seniors only. Jarrod seethes
at Libby for ruining his case, as the jury returns a verdict of guilty.

Whilst Stephanie awaits sentencing, Lucas proclaims his love and begs
her to run away with him. Samantha tells a scowling Karl & Susan that they
should be grateful she stopped their daughter from perjuring herself, but
Donna then lashes out at Libby. Lyn admires Stephanie for facing up to her
mistakes. When Samantha insists she merely did her job to get justice for
Ringo this doesn't go well with Donna. Though Stephanie turns down Lucas's
crazy offer, she does spend the night with him in the Blokes clubhouse.

Stephanie warns Charlie that she might have to go away on her own, and
leaves the boy in her mother's care. Andrew listens when Lyn orders him to
keep away from Summer. With Libby's help, Donna rewrites her victim impact
statement to beg for leniency - but the judge sentences Stephanie to six
years. Summer is hurt to encounter Andrew & Natasha just after they've had
sex. Arriving at the prison, Stephanie tells Jarrod she loves him for what
he's done for her, then after a close embrace she is locked inside.

Declan distracts Kate & Donna from Mark talk with a DVD day at home,
so Rebecca invites Michael & his daughter too, telling Paul it's as thanks
for tutoring Andrew - who sneaks off with Natasha to the Blokes clubhouse.
However, the young lovers are found by Declan who accuses them of trespass
and calls in their parents, starting a fracas between both fathers. After
Rebecca overhears a protective Michael bad-mouthing her family to Natasha,
her anger soon turns into lust which she knows can never be allowed.

Sonya is stuck as Jarrod wallows in misery, Lou can't gee him up, and
Karl makes him worse. Rebecca has to make Paul believe that she & Michael
had an argument. Jarrod finds some annulment papers left by Stephanie, to
free him from their marriage. When Kate plucks up the courage to ask Mark
out, he agrees but for some other night. Rebecca puts a grin on Michael's
face by agreeing to be friends in secret. Lucas hopes that he & Sonya can
distract each other, except Callum comes to announce Jarrod has gone.

---o0o---

After 11 years on the show, that's the end for Carla Bonner who originally
stepped in as Stephanie Scully when the first actress did not work out, to
reshoot all her scenes. And what an exit this was, coming after a lengthy
descent that started as one beer too many with Daniel last Christmas.

Whenever it seems Libby is somewhere else while people talk about her, it
is because actress Kym Valentine was ill when those scenes were filmed.
