SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 26-30 SEP'11 (6236-6240)
After all else at no.26 fails, Jade persuades Rhys to pose as an agent
for Mrs.Scully, making a property inspection - and it turns out that minor
damage to Michelle's bedroom will cost $2,000 to repair. Michael is coming
undone, as he agonises over telling Natasha exactly why she's tormented by
the sound of the ocean - yet he just can't do it. Michelle makes a hurried
exit, pausing briefly to inform Jade & Kyle that she knew all about their
'friends with benefits' - much to the surprise of Sonya & Lucas.
Jade lies to Sonya that Michelle is a liar, while Kyle keeps his distance
by going to play soccer with Rhys & his mates - such as Danielle Paquette,
the nurse who freaked out as Lou was using no.26's shower. Karl is almost
delirious with anxiety about his absent wife, so Summer distracts him with
teaching her to drive. When Kyle goes off with Danielle after the game, a
downcast Jade confesses everything to Sonya. Malcolm phones his dad to say
that Susan won't be home soon, but Summer is there to comfort Karl.
Andrew's clown car is a VW Beetle, but with no money to get it resprayed
he leaves it unlocked outside Lassiter's Hotel. Callum borrows the Blokes
Club's drum kit to jam with Sophie, who orders him to practice on his own.
Nurse Paquette discovers Mr.Dolan received a huge overdose of insulin, so
Dr.Lawson takes the blame. Paul foils Andrew's insurance scam by driving
the car home. Karl is annoyed that Rhys covered for his mistake, just to
get an invite to play golf with him & head surgeon Martin Chambers.
Jarrod has to work at the weekend, getting a councillor's signature on
some developer's rezoning agreement. Karl is further annoyed because Rhys
gets away with talking shop on the golf course, again covers for him when
Martin asks why the Peru trip got postponed, then is invited to observe a
bypass surgery. Sophie is disappointed that she can't go with Noah to an
open mike night, as Kate is too busy. Peter rewards Jarrod's success with
heading the project - to build a shopping centre near to his home.
While Michael visits a lonely beach to scatter rose petals where his
wife Helena drowned, Summer drags Natasha to consult Dr.Kennedy about her
labyrinthitis or even a brain tumour. Jarrod is relieved to find that his
neighbours embrace the development, except for Paul who fears competition
from the centre's cafes, bars, and a large hotel. Natasha's medical tests
prove negative, so Dr.Kennedy diagnoses stress - but after a really bad
turn, Summer advises she needs to know what happened to her mother.
